UFO is the title of a British science fiction television series, created in 1969 by Gerry Anderson, produced in the years 1969-70 by the same Gerry Anderson and his wife Sylvia and televised British Independent Television (ITV). Gerry Anderson

Initially addressed to the British market, consisting of 26 episodes lasting 50 minutes each, plus a pilot, UFO was broadcast in Britain in 1970 and soon after in the U.S..
The Italian edition was broadcast by the television Italian Switzerland since 1970 under the title threat from space and since 1971 by RAI, the original name of UFOs.
The series was revived steadily over the years by various broadcasters Local Italian RAI and again since 1996, with video digitally restored, allowing the public to reassess the quality of the series and special effects.
In 1999 the then TMC2 network repeats the series with interviews and insights in the book Dr Future, restoring deleted scenes and unreleased RAI broadcasting the episodes in their original language with subtitles.
wrongly thought for a young audience by RAI programs, as science fiction, the series quickly became a UFO cult, especially among adults due to an individual situations and not suitable for very young, with plenty of tension, suspense, mystery and violence, though never made explicit, as well as a nuanced eroticism apparent in many scenes, a character unknown to the national production conformist era.
